UPDATE! Here's What Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Changes Look Like Now

There are ALWAYS construction projects happening around Disney World.

From new attractions being built to new restaurants being added to new buildings, Disney World is always a flurry of construction activity. We’re now heading over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to check out the latest construction update there, so come with us!

First, we got some exciting news from a guest staying at the Polynesian recently — the Amazon Alexa devices with the Hey Disney service are being installed at the hotel. Guests at the hotel received a notice about the installation.

The big construction news, though, continues to be the new Disney Vacation Club villas going up at the resort. During our last update, we reported that trees were being cleared from the site, well now, the site has new mounds of dirt!

We’re Keeping an Eye Out for Progress!

There are several areas on the site with new mounds of dirt as prep work for actual construction of the villas continues. We’re seeing containers for debris onsite, too.

If you’re visiting the Polynesian soon, though, you’ll probably just see the construction walls that have been put up.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on the construction progress and keep you updated as it continues. We don’t have an official opening date yet for the new DVC villas, but we’ll let you know when Disney releases that information, too! In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for more!
