It’s official — 2023 is right around the corner! Have you made your Disney World vacation plans yet?
Whether you’ve already planned your trip or are just getting started, it’s important to stay updated on all the refurbishments and construction projects taking place around Disney World — and that’s where we come in. We’re checking out the latest updates from Disney World’s biggest construction projects!
Magic Kingdom
TRON: Lightcycle Run
Crews are hard at work on the ground at TRON, where it looks like there’s some additional pavement work being done. They’ve also started clearing out space and building additional structures over on the left side of the ramp and canopy, which will most likely follow similar shapes and patterns as the other areas where we see greenery has been added.
We’ve also been seeing more and more ride vehicle testing lately, which hopefully means we’re one step closer to hearing an official opening date — right now, we can expect the ride to open sometime in spring 2023.

EPCOT
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza
We’re going vertical over at CommuniCore Hall, which will be the future home of all sorts of EPCOT festival activities. Right now, it looks a bit chaotic as workers try to lay the groundwork for this new space.
More of the ground has been cleared and dirt piles are all around. There’s quite a bit of construction equipment in the zone, and a large crane has been doing some heavy lifting lately.

Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana
We spotted some pavement work happening over at the upcoming Moana attraction, where crews prepared the ground for concrete…
…and here you can see some of that concrete work has been laid!
There are quite a bit of new details here, like the walkway and even more greenery on the rock structures.

Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Disney only has one month left to make good on their promise that Woody’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ would open in 2022, and we’re still eagerly awaiting.
From what we can see out front, there’s still a green fence and scaffolding surrounding the entire front of the building — so we’re not there just yet. We’ll keep you updated on what you need to know!

Summer House on the Lake
A NEW restaurant is coming to Disney Springs in 2023 — and construction has officially begun! Temporary walls are up and we can see some scaffolding as well over at Summer House on the Lake.
An official menu has yet to be released, but at existing locations, you’ll find pizzas, sandwiches, salads, pasta, wood-grilled dishes, and more. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this exciting new eatery!

Polynesian Resort
No, you’re not seeing things — that is a large, fake, wall of tropical plants. And you’ll find them all throughout Disney’s Polynesian Resort right now while renovations are underway for a new building! It will be home to additional DVC rooms, dining options, merch locations, and more.
