Did you know that Disney World hotels have their own set of rules?
For example, if you’re bringing your pet to Disney World, there are only a few specific hotels where they can stay with you. Before you visit, you’ll want to know about the hotel rules where you’re staying! And that includes this seasonal transportation restriction.
While you can access many resorts through Disney transportation, like the Skyliner and Monorail, many guests choose to drive instead. And if you’re planning to resort hop and check out the other hotels at Disney World, you need to know that you can’t always park at Disney hotels where you don’t have a reservation.
With the holidays being a busy time of year, Disney is cutting down on who can park at the resorts to ensure there’s enough parking space for guests who have a room or dining reservation.
Only guests with a resort confirmation or confirmed dining reservation are allowed to park at those resorts right now. Effective today, Disney World officials will be strictly enforcing this rule, according to a Cast Member we spoke to today. Quick-service dining, even with a confirmed mobile order, will not be accepted. This means if you just want to pop into a different hotel and you aren’t staying there or have a dining reservation, you won’t be able to park in their parking lot.
This rule generally goes into effect during the holidays or other times when crowds are larger in Disney World and parking spots are scarce. However, this doesn’t mean you can’t get into different resorts to eat! Other transportation options are still open, including rideshares, the Monorail, the Skyliner, Disney buses, and boats. So you can always go to different hotels, but you can’t always park there.
You can also take advantage of the parking at Disney Springs and then take Disney World transportation to the resort of your choice. Just make sure to plan ahead, then you’ll be all set to enjoy your delicious meal!

If you are a DVC member of a property, for example, you have DVC membership at the Polynesian , Animal Kingdom and Bay Lake. Are you allowed to park at these hotels to shop or quick dine ?? After all, you are an owner of these properties!!! I know I pay dues and property taxes on each of the DVC properties!
Nothing new here. That’s been the rule since reopening after the covid shutdown. But a rule I agree with. If you are a resort guest, you should not have to worry about finding a parking place…especially when you are paying for one.
What about resort hoping, as part of dvc, I think that was part of the deal, maybe they should have a separate parking lot for guests staying at that resort, like they do at fort wilderness campground (parking lot is your campsite) guests visiting have to park in lot by check in,we like to get to other resorts to get those special little things like Kona coffee, we don’t to waste time on disney transportation we drive! Your dvc should get you in any dvc resort, if you’re actual dvc owners, not people buying points.seems as if they need to control locals trying to get free parking
