When you picture eating at a theme park, what food do you imagine? Maybe a turkey leg? Some popcorn? Chicken tenders and fries? While you can certainly find those things in Disney World, one EPCOT spot is taking snacks to the next level!
EPCOT’s 2023 Festival of the Arts has begun and will be available through February 20th, 2023. At the food booths, you’ll find all kinds of creative and NEW eats. Right now, we’re taking you on a virtual trip to The Craftsman’s Courtyard which, apparently, is the booth to visit when you want some fancy food!
Menu
At The Craftsman’s Courtyard, you’ll find a returning item (the Mussels) as well as an item that is returning to the festival but new to this particular booth (the Beef Wellington). Yes, you can get mussels and beef wellington in the middle of a theme park — that’s dramatically different than the burger you might have expected to get during your trip!
Plus, there’s a NEW drink on the menu. So let’s take a look at each of these items and see if they’re worth the cash!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Beef Wellington. This is made with Mushroom duxelles, prosciutto, and puff pastry with red wine demi-glace and baby vegetables. It’s priced at $8.50 this year.
As we noted above, the dish is NEW to The Craftsman’s Courtyard, but returning to the Festival as a whole. In 2022, the dish could be found over at The Artist’s Table.
When we’ve had this item in the past, it has been a BIG favorite of ours, so we were eager to try it again. And…it DELIVERED! The beef was nicely cooked (not overly so!) and just totally falls apart — YUM! It’s also got a good flavor. Plus, the puff pastry was really nice and wonderfully flaky, which we adored.

The other food item available at this booth is the Cast Iron-roasted P.E.I. Mussels with sautéed tomatoes, garlic, and fresh herbs. This is a returning item and can be yours for $7.50.
When we’ve had these in the past, the mussels have been SUPER tasty, so we were excited to give them another try this year. These had a good flavor to them, were fresh, and were just a little bit chewy. Our reporter who tried them this year shared that while there’s nothing tremendously special about them, they are good!
The bread served with them was also wonderfully thick and buttery, and they paired well with the mussels. If you love mussels or really just want to try something unique, this could be a good dish to try.

Drinks
Now, let’s look at the drinks! New to the booth this year is the BrewDog Jet Black Heart Nitro Oatmeal Stout. You can get a 6oz pour for $5.50, or 12oz for $9.50. This is something that might be a bit divisive depending on your tastes! One of our reporters said it was a little too hoppy for them, but was still a good pick for the Florida summer and essentially was a classic oatmeal stout.

The last item at this booth is the Cold Fashion Coffee Cocktail, priced at $11. This is new to this particular booth and was over at The Donut Box in 2022. If you like cold brew coffee and bourbon, this is THE drink for you!
It essentially tastes like a coffee-infused Old Fashioned. In the past, when we’ve had the drink, the bourbon has been pretty strong (you could definitely taste it even with the ice melted!) and the drink overall is not overly sweet. Instead, it has just a whisper of sweetness!
OVERALL
Overall, The Craftman’s Courtyard has a little bit of everything! The beef wellington is a DELICIOUS pick for those looking for some meat, the mussels are a more unique experience that could really challenge your definition of theme park food, and you could grab a new beer and (essentially) a coffee Old Fashioned! It’s a booth that’ll give you a taste of slightly more elevated dining in a theme park.
