One of the best parts of being on vacation and staying in a hotel is not having to clean every single day.
There’s a little bit of luxury in coming back to a clean and tidy room after a long day in the parks, but Disney World had been doing modified housekeeping after the parks reopened. Many guests had been wondering when daily housekeeping services would resume, and now we know!
A Disney World Cast Member confirmed with us that the Deluxe Resorts are switching back to daily housekeeping! During the pandemic, a lot of what we we had grown accustomed to as part of a normal Disney vacation changed, and that included how frequently housekeeping visited your resort room.
When resorts first re-opened after the closure, at check-in guests were asked to choose between receiving  housekeeping service every other day (or every 4th and 8th day for Disney Vacation Club members) or decline it completely.Â
Disney was still giving each room a thorough cleaning in between guests, but throughout a single stay rooms received what they called a “light” cleaning service. This included things like removing trash, removing dirty towels and replenishing with clean ones, and wiping down flat surfaces.
Now, you will receive housekeeping services every single day if you stay at any of the following resorts: Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Beach Club Resort, BoardWalk Inn, the Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian Resort, the Wilderness Lodge, or the Yacht Club Resort. We are hoping this is a positive sign that soon all resorts will resume normal housekeeping services!

Now the big question will be whether you can go back to declining cleaning in favor of a gift card!
People pay 600 00 or more a. Night and expect
daily housekeeping?? What an outrage!! They should have been receiving credits for something like food all this time. Pay a crazy roommate and clean tbe room yourself..what’s next? Self checkout out at grocery stores?? 🙂 🙂
Another thing that used to be “normal” is now offered only to those who can afford to stay at Deluxe resorts. These same people are offered extra late magic hours. Bring back the days when these kinds of things were offered to all of those staying at whatever price level resort you are staying at. Never happen, will it Disney?
It is impossible to pick just one as I love all of the deluxe resorts! If I absolutely had to choose, I would choose a split stay between the Riviera and the Polynesian. If I HAD to choose between these two, I would probably pick the Polynesian. I have never stayed at the Yacht Club or the Beach Club, and they are both lovely as we have eaten at both of them. The Ale and Compass at the Yacht Club is the best breakfast on property for us. I have never had a desire to stay at the Grand Floridian. I agree that ALL of the benefits should be given to ALL of the resorts on property though!
Hopefully they will be bringing back daily cleaning to the rest of the hotels soon! We stayed at Grand Floridian last summer and they cleaned every day but maybe that was just our housekeeper. It looks like Disney is slowly moving back to “normalcy!”
Anxiously awaiting room service returning to Deluxe Resorts, particularly Concierge level.
