It’s here, folks. The day we have been waiting for. It’s been a long time coming, but the wait has only made the return all the more sweet!
Okay, so maybe we’re being a bit dramatic. But we’re still excited to say that daily housekeeping is coming back to ALL Disney World hotels!
It’s been a lengthy period without the normal housekeeping services. When Disney World reopened after the 2020 pandemic closure, all resorts received a pared-down housekeeping service that only visited each room every other day (or even less in some circumstances). As the parks returned to “normal”, it seemed everything was returning except for regular housekeeping.
Last month, Disney brought back daily housekeeping services for Deluxe Resorts. Now, though, Disney announced that by the end of February, “full housekeeping room cleanings will once again be available at all of our Resort hotel rooms.” This will include replenishing amenities, changing and restocking linens, vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms, making the beds — the WORKS.
In addition, guests might even receive a few magical touches, like hidden Mickeys made of hotel toiletries or adorable animals made of towels. We are so thankful for the Disney housekeepers that go above and beyond to make our stays not only comfortable but memorable as well.
There are plenty of other changes going on at resorts across Disney World, and the best way to stay up to date is to follow DFB!

When they say “all Disney World hotels,” does this apply to DVC rooms as well, or will those continue to have a separate housekeeping schedule?
Do you know when in February? We are going to stay at Coronado Springs beginning February 23rd.
Does that mean the rates will go up?
Eric L Erickson says
Are they also going to reinstate the $10/day reimbursement for opting out of housekeeping that was in place pre-pandemic?
I visit WDW quite often as an out-of-state Annual Passholder, always stay for 12 nights, & have noticed that a LOT of things haven’t returned to pre-pandemic standards (i.e., I can’t remember the last time I there was a Mickey Face made out of towels on one of the beds when I first enter my room following check-in).
Good question with respect to DVC members, but beyond that, at the prices that they charge to stay on property, housekeeping should be a given. Other than manpower shortages during the pandemic time period, housekeep should have never been suspended. The guest is only getting back what should have never been curtailed.

It would be a shame if this does not include DVC rooms.

I am so happy for you AJ!
But for me, it’s a big yawn. Guess I’m just a slob, but every other day works fine for me…
re DVC, IIRC every other day housekeeping started before the pandemic. I could be wrong.
This! This is the greatest thing after 15 hours in the parks. Coming back to a freshly made bed, towel animals and peace is a great rejuvenation. So happy for all the Housekeeping Cast Members. We love them all and appreciate all they do to make our stay Magical.
