A favorite activity of many Disney Adults is “drinking around the world.”
EPCOT contains the World Showcase, which has pavilions from a number of different countries — with food and drinks available at each one. That’s where the ability to “drink around the world” comes in. But how many drinks are we talking about here?
There are 11 World Showcase Pavilions in EPCOT. So, true drinking around the world at EPCOT involves … 😟 … 11 drinks? That can make for one LONG day in the Florida heat. We’re going to take a quick look at each pavilion here, but before we do, let’s take a look at a few of our favorite tips for this activity, shall we?
- Remember that you can also find unique NON-alcoholic drinks at each World Showcase Pavilion, and those can be just as valid for punching your “I drank around the world” ticket.
- We highly recommend SPLITTING drinks with a friend. This reduces the amount of alcohol you will consume in the day and also reduces the prices. Buying 11 drinks at EPCOT is going to set you back $100-$150 or more.
- Stay HYDRATED. Ask for a free cup of ice water at each kiosk where you buy a drink.
OK, on to those pavilions, where you are going to plan to imbibe politely and safely, and only if you’re not going to be driving home from the parks — right? RIGHT.
Canada
You’ll find Moosehead Beer, cocktails such as the Ottawa Apple and a great snack — Maple Popcorn — at the popcorn booth in this pavilion.
United Kingdom
You’re probably going to want to grab a pint here, and you’ll find the classics — Guinness and Harp — here. But also check out the “pub blends” at the Rose & Crown lounge — like the Snake Bite Imperial Pint that is a blend of Harp and Cider.
France
Our go-to recommendation here is going to be a boozy slush like the Grand Marnier Orange Slush at Les Vins de Chefs de France, but you can also grab a glass of champagne.
Morocco
The house-made sangria from Spice Road Table is our go-to in this pavilion, but you could also go the non-alcoholic route here with some mint iced tea.
Japan
Is it a drink? Is it a snow cone? You can get an icy Sake Mist from Kabuki Cafe in the Japan Pavilion. If you’re a beer lover, you could opt for a Kirin here.
American Adventure
You probably can’t get more American than a Samuel Adams Boston Lager at Regal Eagle Smokehouse, but if you want a cocktail, you’ll also find some made with the very American Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey.
Italy
You can find some great Italian wines here, but we must recommend the Italian Margarita from Gelateria Toscano. We know, we know … tequila isn’t exactly an Italian spirit, but hey, it’s blended with Limoncello!
Germany
Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion is the home of one of EPCOT’s most popular beers — the Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen.
China
We’re going to recommend two drinks here that really couldn’t be more different. First off, you’ll find the memorably named Tipsy Ducks in Love — think spiked chocolate coffee. Or if you’re looking for something lighter, our go-to would be the Dragon Blossom, with pilsner, honey, and green tea.
Norway
You’re in the home stretch of your tour now. If you need a pick-me-up, you could opt for the Viking Coffee at Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe. It’s a frozen coffee with both Bailey’s Irish Cream Liquer and Kamora Coffee Liquer.
Mexico
You’ll want to wind up your day (or start it, if you choose to walk clockwise around the World Showcase) with a margarita or Mexican beer. You can head inside the pavilion to La Cava del Tequila, or grab a quick-service drink at La Cantina de San Angel.
And there you have it — a look at the 11 pavilions for drinking around the world at EPCOT!
