EPCOT has seen some major changes in the past few years, and even more are on the way!
The park is undergoing a massive transformation that’s set to be complete later this year, but already in 2023 there have been some new additions. The Figment meet and greet opened up, along with a few updated snack stands. But one big thing that came to EPCOT this year? A brand-new restaurant!
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya opened in the Japan Pavilion in August, and we stopped by right away to try out a BUNCH of eats. But during our visit, we learned one very cool thing about this restaurant and it’s menu!
Throughout the year, the menu at Shiki-Sai will change repeatedly as the restaurant celebrates different seasonal Japanese festivals. Periodically, there will be a new celebration that you can enjoy from your table, “from hanging tanzaku to celebrate Tanabata in July to savoring moon-viewing dumplings in September.” During the meal, a cultural representative will guide you through the experience.
And if you’re hoping to stop by soon, then you’ll be happy to know that they just made their first change! Shiki-Sai’s “Autumn Delight” includes maple trees at the entrances and inspiration from the moon. If you want to check it out, snag a reservation and head to the second floor of the Japan Pavilion!
We’ll make sure to let you know if there are any other major changes at this restaurant, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest. We’ve got all the food recommendations and tips you need before your trip to Disney World!

it looks like the menu has already seen big changes (downgrades) since opening…I had picked out several options to get next week (as I dont eat sushi) and now I dont see those items at all…making it hard to really find something Im going to be able to eat.
