How are those 2024 Disney World trip plans coming along?
We know that there are so many factors you’re keeping an eye on like hotel rates and park tickets when you’re planning your next trip. Let’s talk about the days when Genie+ will be the most expensive in Disney World in 2024.
Here are the most expensive days to travel to Disney World in 2024, based on what we saw in 2023. This list is based on ticket prices alone, but Genie+ has a history of being more expensive during these times when tickets are more in demand. How much will Genie+ cost? There’s no way to know for sure, but we have seen prices rise as $35 per person on the busiest days in the parks.
Also, as a quick refresher, if terms like Genie+, Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lanes sound like a foreign language to you, you’re going to want to grab our cheatsheet right here!
Now, let’s dive into those dates!
February
Keep an eye out for February 16th-February 24th. The park tickets are $164, which is up from what they cost the same time in the year before (they ranged from $149+ to $159+ in 2023). Many schools take a break for President’s Day during that time, and families in wintry climates like to come to Florida for some sunshine! Side note — the EPCOT Festival of the Arts ends on February 19th, 2024.
Also, the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend starts on February 22nd, 2024. This WILL bring more demand to the parks, which means higher Genie+ costs.
March
March 29th-31st are the days you’ll want to steer clear of. The ticket prices are $164+, which is higher than those dates for 2023 (price ranges for a year ago were from $144+ to $15+). Easter falls on March 31st, and with many schools closed for Good Friday on March 29th, this will be a busy weekend!
The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing by this time!
April
In April, go ahead and mark down that the 20th and 21st will be the priciest days. The ticket prices are $164+ compared to last year when they were priced at around $149 and up. The Spring Break travel season usually lasts through April, so this is still a busy time with more demand in the parks.
If you DO travel to Disney World during the Spring Break travel season, you’ll certainly need to be prepared for crowds and surging Genie+ prices.
November
Thanksgiving falls later in 2024 — on November 28th. If you’re visiting Disney World on November 24th-30th, expect higher ticket prices: $164+, and that generally means higher Genie+ prices, too.
Just for reference, in 2023, those ticket prices for November 24th-30th were from $149 up to $159.
December
THE MOST EXPENSIVE days to visit Disney World in December 2024 are from December 22nd-31st, when tickets are $164+.
So, if you’re on a budget, you might want to avoid Disney World on these days because you could save a LOT of money by going on cheaper days. However, if you just can’t avoid it, just keep in mind that Genie+ will most likely cost more, too.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on prices — and everything else — in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
