Opening day for Epic Universe is almost here, and Universal’s dropping even MORE details on what we can expect for its first official day open on May 22nd, 2025.

Celestial Park in Epic Universe
While it might feel like we’ve explored everything there is to see, do, eat, and ride inside Universal’s newest theme park, we have to remember that this park hasn’t officially been open yet. While getting a peek at Epic Universe during its previews was amazing, it only got us even MORE excited to see how the park will be different once it’s truly open.
Universal’s just released details for the upcoming Epic Universe grand opening day, and we’ve learned there’s going to be a few things that will be a bit different in the park for its first day.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic
Epic Universe and its five immersive worlds will officially join the rest of Universal’s Orlando parks of Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay. And with as much hype that has surrounded this new park and its opening ceremony, we now have a few questions answered about how to begin our day at Epic Universe.

Hiccups Wing Gliders
Assuming you’ve already snagged your ticket for opening day which happens on May 22nd, there’s a few nuggets of helpful info you’ll need to know in advance to make the most of this unforgettable day. First, park hours for Epic Universe will run from 9 AM to 10 PM but if you’re looking to be one of the first in the park, you’ll need to know how early you can arrive.

Epic Universe
Epic Universe’s parking lot, including ride share drop off, will open at 6 AM. Shuttle buses from all Universal Orlando hotels to Epic Universe will also begin at 6 AM.

Bus Stop
After you’ve found your way past parking and walked up the walkway towards the entrance, turnstiles at both the Chronos front entrance and the Universal Helios Grand Hotel’s dedicated entrance will open as early as 7 AM. From there, you’ll likely enter a holding area before catching a brief opening ceremony for the park, which is set to begin at 8 AM.
