In June 2024, Test Track closed in EPCOT to make way for a reimagined version of the ride.
Test Track 3.0 opens to the public on July 22nd, 2025, and although we’ve already had a chance to check it out, we can’t wait to ride it again and again. Ahead of the ride’s reopening, Disney shared details about how the queue will work — and confirmed there will be NO Virtual Queue when the ride reopens.
Test Track 3.0 officially reopens on July 22nd, 2025, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience this newly reimagined ride. Disney confirmed that when the ride does reopen, it will be available via the standby line and Lightning Lane Multi Pass. There will not be a Virtual Queue for Test Track when it reopens.
Sometimes, Disney will utilize a Virtual Queue for a ride’s reopening if they think demand for the ride is quite high. While we do expect there to be quite a big crowd for Test Track’s reopening, it seems as though Disney doesn’t anticipate the standby line getting too long for the ride.
As Test Track is added to the Tier 1 lineup for Lightning Lane Multi Pass on July 22nd, Soarin’ will move to being a Tier 2 attraction. After July 22nd, the Lightning Lane Multi Pass tiers for EPCOT will be:
Guests may choose ONE attraction from the following Tier 1 list:
- Test Track
- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Guests may choose TWO attractions (or all 3) from the following Tier 2 list:
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival
- Journey Into Imagination with Figment
- Living With the Land
- Mission: SPACE
- The Seas with Nemo and Friends
- Spaceship Earth
- Turtle Talk with Crush
