There is a LOT of construction happening right now in Magic Kingdom. A new Villains land is being built. A new Cars area is also being built. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is getting some huge updates, as is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

However, one popular Magic Kingdom shop is also going to be getting some changes. Disney has filed a new permit for Sir Mickey’s — and it could have something to do with some changes coming to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Disney World has filed a permit for 1396 Magic Kingdom Drive, Bay Lake, which coincides with the address of Sir Mickey’s, the shop in Fantasyland that’s just behind Cinderella Castle (and the shop where you can get a special pixie dusting). It also houses the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Royal Portrait Studio, where kids who’ve had their makeovers can get photos taken.

The permit is to “install scenic prop elements, and audio and lighting equipment.” Now, we’re not 100% sure this has something to do with the Royal Portrait Studio, but it is likely, especially with the addition of prop elements. So it’s possible that this part of the shop is getting a serious upgrade.

Again, we’re not 100% sure what is happening inside Sir Mickey’s, and the construction could be for something else inside the store. But Disney World has announced some changes to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, including the addition of the Fairy Godmother, as well as simplifying its packages.
