Sometimes, we find ourselves craving dinner AND a show. Where do we go to be entertained and well-fed? Straight to Disney Springs! But before you settle in for some live entertainment, you may want to read this first. A major change has come to a popular Disney Springs restaurant, as the longtime house band at The Edison has stepped away.

Sound City Radio, which provided music at the establishment for the last four years, took to Instagram at the end of September to announce its departure. Here’s what we know about the change. 

In a recent Instagram post, the band announced that it had just finished its final night at the venue.

The post read in part, “For the past 4 years, we’ve had the honor of sharing unforgettable moments with every talented performer who stepped onto our stage, and every guest who sang, danced, and celebrated alongside us.” Sound City Radio clarified that it was not the end of the band, however, as they wrote, “This may be the closing curtain on our time at The Edison, but it’s far from the end of the journey.”

Finally, the bad ended on a positive note, imploring guests to “be sure to show some love to the new house band ‘Moxy,’ stepping into the spotlight at The Edison.” So, yes, that means a NEW band has taken over at The Edison. You can hear them perform live at Disney World NOW!

The Edison opened to great fanfare at Disney Springs in late 2017, and the 1920s-themed establishment quickly became a fan favorite thanks to its unique atmosphere, cocktail culture, and live entertainment offerings.
