A NEW celebrity narrator has been announced for this year’s Candlelight Processional at EPCOT! Susan Egan, the voice of Megara in Hercules, will be narrating the Candlelight Processional on December 3rd and December 4th. Originally, Jennifer Garner was supposed to narrate these nights, but she will no longer be a celebrity narrator this year.
If you had your heart set on seeing Jennifer Garner, we hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at least it is better to know she won’t be there than to wonder why Susan Egan is on stage instead. Plus, we have a feeling that Susan Egan is going to be a wonderful celebrity narrator!
During the Candlelight Processional, celebrity narrators tell the story of Christmas alongside a 50-piece orchestra and choirs. It is just one of the many special offerings during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, but it is definitely a popular offering!
This year, the Festival of the Holidays runs from November 28th until December 30th, and there is an exciting lineup of celebrity narrators for the Candlelight Processional. Here is a look at all the narrators this year:
- November 28th to 29th — Constance Wu (NEW)
- November 30th to December 2nd — Jordan Fisher
- December 3rd to 4th — Susan Egan (NEW)
- December 5th to 6th — Ashley Eckstein
- December 7th to 8th — Ralph Macchio
- December 9th to 10th — Leslie Uggams (NEW)
- December 11th to 13th — Marlee Matlin
- December 14th to 15th — Henry Winkler (NEW)
- December 16th to 17th — Lauren Daigle (NEW)
- December 18th to 19th — Gary Sinise
- December 20th to 22nd — Brendan Fraser
- December 23rd to 24th — Luis Fonsi
- December 25th to 26th — Joel Smallbone (NEW)
- December 27th to 28th — Brie Larson (NEW)
- December 29th to 30th — Sheryl Lee Ralph (NEW)
Performances happen at the America Gardens Theatre at 5 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM every night of the festival. Come for your favorite celebrity or stop in on multiple nights to see how each celebrity brings their personality to the performance. If there is a celebrity you are really hoping to see, or you just want to guarantee a spot during the show, you can also book a Candlelight Processional Dining Package.
The Candlelight Processional Dining Package provides guests with a breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a participating EPCOT restaurant and guaranteed seating for the Candlelight Processional that evening. The package is available at a variety of EPCOT restaurants, including Biergarten Restaurant, Garden Grill, Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria, and more.
There is also a same-day walk-up option for the Candelight Processional Dining Package available at Regal Eagle Smokehouse. You get a guaranteed seat at the show, an entree, a non-alcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverage for of-age guests), and dessert. The walk-up option costs $41 for Adults, $24 for Children ages 3 to 9, OR 1 Table Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
We can’t wait for the holidays to kick off at EPCOT on November 28th, and we are excited to welcome Susan Egan to the Candlelight Processional on December 3rd and 4th.
