Universal’s newest roller coaster is Fast & Furious themed – and we’re seeing just how fast these cars can go! The new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride will have riders board some iconic cars from the movie series!
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will be on both coasts. The Universal Studios Hollywood coaster will open in summer 2026, while the Universal Orlando coaster will open in 2027.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will have you board four iconic cars from the movie series. The first ride vehicle is Dominic Toretto’s signature Dodge Charger featured throughout the films. With its sleek black frame, this souped-up, 900-horsepower, 1970 Dodge Charger is the ultimate American muscle car!
The second car is the 1997 Mazda RX-7 driven by Han Seoul-oh. Featuring 19-inch wheels, racing seats, upgraded suspension, and custom interior detailing, the Mazda RX-7 is considered one of the most iconic cars in the Fast & Furious film franchise.
The third ride vehicle is inspired by Brian O’Conner’s 2002 blue Nissan Skyline GT-R, which was enhanced with extensive performance and styling modifications and is renowned for its unique appearance.
The final ride vehicle is inspired by Brian O’Conner’s orange 1994 car featuring the legendary 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo inline-six engine. O’Conner owed Toretto a “10-second car,” and this one more than delivered on that promise. It’s one of the most memorable cars in the film franchise.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is almost done at Universal Studios Hollywood, with an opening set for this summer! The ride at Universal Orlando is currently under construction and set to open in 2027.
We’re so excited to ride Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift this summer. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Universal news!
