Monday is going to be VERY busy in Disney World.
Now, we’ve seen some crowds in Disney World recently, especially for Spring Break (which is always a little chaotic), and we expect to see crowds for the next big holiday, July 4th. However, a holiday you may NOT know about is coming up on Monday, May 4th, and it means you’ll see a lot of folks heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Monday is May 4th, or to Star Wars fans, it’s May the 4th (as in May The 4th Be With You). It’s Star Wars Day, a day when Star Wars fans celebrate all things about their favorite franchise. Well, with Hollywood Studios being home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, where do you think many Star Wars fans want to celebrate such an important day? IN Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, of course!
Now, Disney does do a few things on May the 4th to mark the occasion. You’re likely to find a few surprises in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, plus some limited time food and drinks pop up in Disney World to celebrate. This year, you’ll even find Pink Milk (which is something we previously had in Disneyland), as well as Your Chosen Path Cupcake, Lightsaber Churro, and more. Now, you’ll find some of these foods and drinks OUTSIDE Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including Bright Suns Chocolate Mousse at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.
Of course, Star Wars fans will be running to grab these snacks and celebrate this special day. So expect to see a lot of them lined up for rope drop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Monday. This also means you’ll probably find long lines for rides like Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. If those rides are a priority, you may want to consider purchasing Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
We’ll be in Disney World on Monday to let you know what the crowds are like (and to try out the special food and drinks), so stay tuned to DFB for more.
