Monday is going to be VERY busy in Disney World.

Now, we’ve seen some crowds in Disney World recently, especially for Spring Break (which is always a little chaotic), and we expect to see crowds for the next big holiday, July 4th. However, a holiday you may NOT know about is coming up on Monday, May 4th, and it means you’ll see a lot of folks heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Some BIG changes just came to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland…and we’re surprised by just how popular these changes seem to be.
Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
We’re talking about the melding of timelines in Batuu that now sees some characters (and music) from the Star Wars original trilogy hanging out and meeting with visitors. Yep, you can now see Darth Vader, Imperial Stormtroopers, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. But if you’ll be visiting this land soon, we’ve got to warn you about one thing: crowds.
Some HUGE changes are coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, and it’s going to change your entire experience in that part of the park.
Millennium Falcon
The timeline for Batuu is shifting to include ALL timelines in the Star Wars universe, including the timeline in the original trilogy of movies. That means you’ll soon be able to see characters like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Darth Vader in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Princess Leia will also be coming to the land, too, and now we have a first look at her!
A LOT is going on in Disney’s Hollywood Studios right now, and if you’re visiting the park, don’t be surprised that things are looking a LOT different these days. Muppets Courtyard is gone, to be replaced by a new Monsters, Inc. land. Animation Courtyard is being reimagined as The Walt Disney Studios. And The Muppets are busy taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Well, we recently spotted ANOTHER change in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Now this isn’t as big as, say, a new ride or new land. But it is something that makes us extremely happy because it adds a little more shade to the land. Yes, new canopies have been added to the area around Savi’s Workshop.

However, we just recently attended a VERY special Star Wars event that you might not even know about, and it’s all about lighting up the night with lightsabers.

It’s safe to say that the menus at Disneyland Resort habe been seeing some big changes recently. A long time ago (in this galaxy), Hollywood Studios once held Star Wars weekends, but now you can experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge any day of the week. But there is one special, yet random day in May that all Star Wars fans are probably hoping to visit Batuu more than any other day, at least that’s the feeling we get when we look at the park reservations calendar!
