3 Changes Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios Next Month

If you’re heading to Hollywood Studios this July, there are some major things to be aware of.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

At the tail end of May, Galaxy’s Edge saw the addition of a new mission to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu (Baby Yoda, to those of you unfamiliar with the Galaxy Far, Far Away), which includes visits to Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, or the bustling city-planet, Coruscant. A few days after Mando and Grogu arrived, the Muppets took over an iconic coaster! This new take on the classic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster features a soundtrack of classic songs as covered by the Electric Mayhem, as well as animatronics of Scooter, the penguins from Muppet*Vision 3D, and even Stadler and Waldorf! Both of these additions have proven hugely popular and will likely remain so into July. However, they’re not the only things going on at Hollywood Studios in July.

Afternoon Ticket

If you want to just pop into Hollywood Studios to experience these new attractions, you can grab Disney’s new ticket option. Throughout July, Disney is offering specially priced 2 or 3-day tickets that provide admission to one theme park each day, after 2:00 PM. The 2-day ticket must be used within 4 days of the selected start date; the 3-day ticket must be used within 5 days of the selected start date. The ticket can be used for any of Disney World’s 4 theme parks.

After Hours Events

If you want to ride these attractions with smaller lines late at night, an After Hours Event may be your best bet. These separately ticketed events allow guests to enjoy beloved attractions with lower wait times for an extra two hours after the park closes to the pubic, plus enjoy snacks included in the cost of this ticketed event. Hollywood Studios will play host to After Hours events on July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

V.I.Passholder Days Exclusives

Beginning on May 1st, Disney launched V.I.Passholder Summer Days, a “summer celebration brimming with limited-time offerings and exciting perks just for Passholders!” and plenty of those perks will be available at Hollywood Studios through July 31st, when the promotion ends! They include:

An exclusive Popcorn Bucket featuring a design from illustrator Ashley Taylor will be available beginning May 1st at the Popcorn Cart between The Hollywood Brown Derby and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
An exclusive V.I.Passholder Tumbler available at Backlot Express and Dockside Diner.
Finally, Passholders can even save big on dining, saving 40% at Hollywood & Vine (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), Monday to Thursday only, from May 1st through July 31st.
