A new perk just debuted at Disney World’s BoardWalk Inn…

…but NOT every guest is eligible to take advantage of it! While anyone can stroll along the water, grab a scoop of ice cream, or invest in a $22 slice of cake, a special character meet-and-greet has returned that’s only for Disney Vacation Club members. Here are all the details!
This summer, Disney Vacation Club Members have access to a special character experience at the BoardWalk’s Atlantic Dance Hall as part of DVC Welcome Home Weeks.

Some dates have already passed, but the character experiences are scheduled to run from 11 AM to 1 PM on the following dates:
- July 22nd
- July 27th through July 28th
- August 4th through August 5th
- August 12th through August 13th,
- August 17th through August 18th
- August 26th, 2026
To attend, Members must be eligible for Membership Extras and have a Disney World resort reservation. Members can bring four Guests (or the number of additional Guests on the reservation). A valid Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership Card and photo ID are required at event check-in, and the Member listed on the Digital Membership Card must be in attendance. In addition, according to Disney, there is no on-site parking available for this event, and Members are strongly encouraged to use Walt Disney World Resort transportation.

This character experience isn’t the only perk Vacation Club Members have access to during Welcome Home Weeks, which last from July 22nd through August 26th. Some of the other perks at the Disney World Resort during this period include:

Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Location: Top of the World Lounge
- Dates: Fridays and Saturdays, starting July 24th
- Times: 9 AM to 11 AM
Top of the World Lounge
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Location: Reunion Station
- Dates: Saturdays and Sundays, starting July 25th
- Times: 9 AM to 11 AM
