Folks who traveled with Southwest Airlines over the 2022 holiday season knew this all too well, as the airline suffered a nationwide meltdown in the form of canceled flights. Southwest has made its own boarding process a bit less chaotic in recent years, but that service may be on its way out soon.

Like we get why Mickey balloons are so popular, but we’ll still say you should spend your souvenir money on other things. We might even tell you to avoid those light-up souvenirs that always come out at night, but you might face an argument with your little one if you say “No.” Then there are bubble wands…which are everywhere. We’ve walked into clouds of bubbles and have been virtually blinded by them, but a new one is online now, and well…we’ll admit we kind of want it.
The DeSantis-appointed Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) Board is not backing down from its fight against Disney, according to new details revealed at the recent meeting.

The board is engaged in legal battles against The Walt Disney Company — they announced a lawsuit against Disney in May of this year, and Disney recently filed a countersuit against the board. These lawsuits don’t come cheap, as is evident in the Board’s budget plan for fiscal year 2024.

There are a number of problems you may face in Disney World and you probably think you’re prepared for a lot of them, but there’s ONE you might not be thinking about at all.
Drink in Disney World
No, it doesn’t have to do with Genie+ (though that can be complicated), Park Passes (which will get a big change in 2024!), or Dining Reservations (which have seen a big change recently). This one is related specifically to grabbing DRINKS in Disney World, and we’re not even talking about alcoholic ones — just your regular soda or water too.
“Do you wanna build a snowman?” Yes, WE wanna build a snowman. In a whole LAND themed to the Frozen movies. Right at our home park in sunny Florida!

However, we aren’t as lucky as some of the other folks around the world. Over at Hong Kong Disneyland, things are really progressing as we grow nearer to the completion of World of Frozen — the park’s Frozen-themed land. World of Frozen will feature character meet and greets, an attraction similar to Frozen Ever After, and the first Frozen-themed roller coaster, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. Disney just shared some NEW details regarding the land, and we are SO excited!
It’s probably safe to assume that majority of Disney World visitors have gotten to Orlando via plane. (Except for you, Florida residents. We’re very jealous of you.)

However, if you’re in a situation where you can easily drive within a day to Disney World, like if you live in a surrounding state, now might be a good time to skip out on the flight for a change and drive to the magic. While flying is undeniably quicker and easier in most circumstances, some issues lately might make you rethink your choice and inspire you to take a road trip.
