We’ve seen quite a few updates made recently regarding COVID-19 and reopening regulations.

In California, we’ve gotten updated theme park reopening guidelines and seen how vaccination eligibility will soon be expanding. And now we’ve got a big update on gatherings with regards to California’s rules.
Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are both set to reopen on April 30th, 2021. So far, we’ve taken a look at California’s updated theme park reopening guidelines and more details about the future reopening.
Disneyland Will Be Open Again Soon!
But soon, some regulations that could impact the reopening will likely be changing.
Recently, Disneyland Resort announced that it would reopen its theme parks at the end of April.

Although Disney World was able to open in July of 2020, Disneyland has been unable to open because of the strict guidelines the state of California set for theme parks to be able to open. Now, California has released updated theme park reopening guidelines as the biggest theme parks in Southern California prepare to reopen.
Disneyland theme parks aren’t fully reopening for another month, but we got some HUGE news out of Anaheim today: Disneyland Resort is trying to expand!

It’s dizzying to dissect everything Disneyland has released information about like theme parks, retail, and parking expansions, and to make sense of all these potential future plans, Disney launched a new website, DisneylandForward.
The situation with the pandemic and COVID-19 vaccines continues to change and develop throughout the United States. Not too long ago, President Biden indicated that the United States could have enough vaccines for all adults by May, and he directed states to make all adults eligible for the vaccine by May.

Earlier today, we shared that Florida plans to make all adults eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine next month. And now, we’ve got updates from the state of California and when more adults there could be eligible to become vaccinated.
California theme parks are preparing to reopen after the state government modified their guidance. Now, large theme parks like Disneyland can reopen as early as April 1st with limited capacity once their county enters the Red tier. Orange County, where Disneyland is located, officially entered the Red tier this past weekend.

While Disneyland aims for a late April reopening, it may come with a shocking twist: silence!

However, the resort seems to be moving towards a phased reopening! Disney California Adventure’s limited-time A Touch of Disney event kicks off this week, and Disneyland recently announced that it’s aiming for a late April reopening. To prep for this, we’ve seen Cast Members INSIDE Disneyland— and now, we’ve spotted more signs that the parks are getting ready to welcome us back!
Disneyland is set to host a ticketed event inside of one of its theme parks, the theme parks themselves are aiming to reopen in late April, and NOW more change may be on the way.

Currently, Orange County is in the purple or most restrictive reopening tier in California, where things like indoor dining are prohibited. But, that’s all about to change!!

The park has remained closed since March 2020, but Disney recently announced it could reopen in late April. And while we were passing the main entrance gate today, we spotted a BIG sign that we’re makin’ progress on that reopening.
