We’ve already had a BUNCH of delicious fall and Halloween delights like the Pumpkin Whoopie Pie, the Not So Poison Apple Cupcake, and the Pumpkin Cheesecake Cannoli. Now, we’re trying another Halloween eat — and this one is for the cookie fanatics!
We’ve been carefully watching the construction progress over at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs, eagerly awaiting the day when they’ll finally be open!

Although Gideon’s is already selling its incredibly large cookies to its adoring fans in Orlando, the Disney Springs spot will be their first flagship location. We don’t know exactly when they’ll be opening, but we spotted something new today that shows we’re one step closer to enjoying their delicious treats in Disney!
Disney World is all about the theming, which is one of the reasons guests love it so much. But theming isn’t just reserved for the attractions and hotels — oh no, it also extends to many of the restaurants (and we’re especially excited about the upcoming space-themed Space 220 at EPCOT!).
Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the upcoming Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs also has a mysterious backstory!
Although the Sprinkles spots at Disney Springs and Downtown Disney are mostly known for its cupcakes (hello, red velvet!), the bakery also bakes up a lot of other goodies, including cookies, brownies, and layer cakes.

Honestly, we could stare at the bakery case at Sprinkles ALL DAY LONG, drooling and trying to decide what to get (everything, please?). And that’s not even including their limited-time cupcake flavors, like the banana split cupcake.
It’s getting harder and HARDER to contain our pure cookie joy over the new Gideon’s Bakehouse that’s coming soon to Disney Springs!

Ever since we found out where the new Gideon’s Bakehouse would be going in at Disney Springs, we’ve been circling the location like a pack of hungry sharks!

We still have to pinch ourselves every now and then to believe we won’t just be getting our favorite Gideon’s chocolate chip cookies straight from the source when the new bakery opens, but we’ll also be getting massive cake slices and a signature line of coffee blends.
Disney Springs is essentially a theme park where food is the main attraction! We are incredibly excited about a new food “attraction” coming to Disney Springs in 2020 — Gideon’s Bakehouse!

In Disney Springs, Gideon’s cookies used to only be offered in very limited quantities at The Polite Pig. We’re excited to get all of the giant (half pound each!!) cookies and even some giant cake slices when Gideon’s Bakehouse opens its own spot!
But, the wait for these delicious treats was killing us!! So, we decided to make a trip to Gideon’s current location in Orlando at the East End Market to see what we might expect when Gideon’s Bakehouse opens this year. Oh, and we had to sample the cookies — for research, of course! 😉

The bakeshop is known for oversized cookies, specialty coffee, and uniquely tasty cakes. Gideon’s announced that they will be serving up LOT of their popular Cake Slices at the new Disney Springs location! While we wait for opening day, here’s a small taste of what’s we could see at Disney Springs in the future.
Earlier this week, we were truly shaken to our core when we found out The Polite Pig in Disney Springs was no longer selling the famous Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookie! THE HORROR!

Of course, we later found out WHY, and also much to our relief, The Polite Pig began offering its own replacement: hence the Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookie was born!
