DINOSAUR is gone, y’all
Disney has wasted no time in beginning the demolition of DinoLand, and new photos show how quickly the company is moving! If you’re sensative to Disney World construction, now is your time to look away.
Can you hear that sound? It’s kinda quiet? Oh yeah, it’s our hearts breaking into two.
So. Many. Walls.
DinoLand U.S.A. formally closed in Animal Kingdom in February 2026, and it has truly been a bittersweet process. The land is being replaced with a Tropical American-inspired area called Pueblo Esperanza, which we are excited about, but it hasn’t made saying goodbye to Dr. Seeker any easier. Now, another huge part of DinoLand has disappeared forever, and we aren’t handling it well.
We’re drying our eyes still, but the time has finally come, whether we wanted it to or not.
No more DinoLand!
Yesterday was the FINAL day to experience DinoLand U.S.A. as a whole in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and now, the walls are officially up all around the land. There will be no more walking past some of the construction walls to make your way to Restaurantosaurus or DINOSAUR — it’s all closed off now to make way for the new Tropical Americas expansion. But what does that REALLY look like? We’re here on day one of the closure to check it out!
