The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is one of the biggest events Disney throws all year — and it brings in the crowds for a reason.

From food booths to concerts to unique merch, it’s a whole thing. And while Disney hasn’t officially released the 2025 dates yet, based on what we’ve seen in recent years (and a few other clues), we’ve got a pretty solid idea of when you can expect it to kick off. Let’s talk predictions.
We are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the dates for this year’s Food and Wine Festival in EPCOT. This is EPCOT’s largest festival, and this year, some new developments could make it extra exciting.

We know it’s only the spring, but we’re already getting excited for the 2022 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival!
2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival
Don’t get us wrong, we love Flower and Garden Festival, but Food and Wine is the OG food festival. Disney just announced that the 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival will take place from July 14th through November 19th of this year, and they also revealed how many food booths will be at the festival!
With news dropping that Walt Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be opening sooner than expected in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Parks fans were left wondering: How will the August 29th grand opening of Galaxy’s Edge impact Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival, which historically begins the last week of August?

Food and Wine typically opens in late-August, and crowds descend upon World Showcase immediately. In fact, opening weekend and closing weekend tend to be the busiest times for Food and Wine. With dates for Food and Wine still unannounced, it’s unclear whether the Festival will open before the gates of Black Spire Outpost in Galaxy’s Edge. Our preliminary research and hotel bookings indicate that Food and Wine will likely start no later than early September and may well begin even earlier (mid-August or the last week of August).
