Toy Story Mania is part ride, part shooting game that takes you through Toy Story settings. It’s all 3D, so you’ll get a pair of glasses before you hop on. But when we went to grab some, we noticed something from one of our favorite closed attractions that’s being given a new life.

Disney’s New Ride Announcement Is Officially the Most Confusing Thing I’ve Seen All Month

We’re just a wee bit confused about Disney’s latest announcement regarding the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster’s Muppet transformation.

I’ve been covering Disney theme parks for over 7 years, and visiting them/tracking news about them for nearly 5x that long, and over that time I’ve seen the company make a lot of announcements. I’ve seen new attractions, refurbishments, ride closures, and even new theme parks announced, with opening timelines. However, I can’t think of another instance that’s quite as befuddling as just what’s happening with the new version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.

Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

There are tons of changes coming to the parks, like the Magic Kingdom expansion, Monsters Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios, and Pueblo Esperanza in Animal Kingdom. We’ve been eagerly awaiting any signs of the changes, but this week Disney gave us tons of news, some of which we weren’t anticipating! BREAKING: CLOSING TIMELINE Confirmed for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

BIG news, people! When one door closes, another one opens, and that’s exactly what’s happening over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let’s start with the bad news: Muppets Courtyard is closed as of June 8th, 2025. The good news? The Muppets are heading over to a NEW location!

Where are the Muppets going? To Sunset Boulevard! The Muppets will be taking over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster attraction with new music, a new design, and lots of Muppet mayhem. Now, Disney just announced the CLOSING TIMELINE for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and it’s sooner than you might think.
