We like to warn our readers about potential price increases when they’re traveling to Disney World. You probably know that hotels tend to get a little pricier each year, and that food prices increase frequently. But now, we’re here to issue a warning to those people leaving FROM Orlando! There’s an incoming price increase at the Orlando Airport.
Some places go together perfectly. All our favorite malls have a Cheesecake Factory inside. Target and Starbucks seem to be pretty close friends, too. But the Orlando Airport and Disney World may be the ULTIMATE dream team.
Orlando International Airport
Although we’re still a little sad that Disney eliminated its free airport transportation, we still love the feeling of landing at the airport and getting ready to go to Disney World. It’s the best! Well, as much as we love the arrival phase of our airport journey, many seem to agree that there are some parts of the airport we wish we could skip. Could MCO make things better? It seems like they’re trying!
Somehow, we’re already more than halfway through 2023, and that means that many of you are either planning your holiday travels, and maybe even your spring break vacations.

There’s a LOT to Do
You might already be planning a visit to this airport as your way to get to/from your home and Walt Disney World, but there’s a lot to do in the airport aside from stressfully walking to/from your gate and running to the restroom before your flight takes off. There are some seriously incredible restaurants here (including ones run by folks at or coming to Disney Springs!), theme park stores you won’t want to miss, and more. There’s just one problem — a bunch of that is PAST security. And you can’t get through security and into the rest of the airport without a booked flight and boarding pass right? WRONG!

What was previously a Tropical Storm has now become a full-fledged hurricane, expected to hit Florida’s Gulf Coast sometime Wednesday morning. Floridians and those traveling to Florida are preparing for the impact of the storm, and we’re keeping an eye on all the updates you need to know if you’ll be in the area. The latest of those updates comes from the Orlando International Airport.
Soon travelers will have even more options when flying into Orlando!

Recently, several airlines have announced new direct flights to Orlando International Airport, including Porter Airlines, and Silver Airways, to name a few. And now, another carrier plans to add new nonstop flights to Orlando soon!
