I was excited to try the fondue here, but my potatoes were cold…very strange!! Still, the cheese itself was delicious — very wine-y! The Beef, Duck, and Ham were quite good; my favorite was the ham. Check out our full Charcuterie and Cheese Page for the menu, pricing, and more photos!

    Just me … and I know I’m not there yet … but I perfer hard cheese I can eat with my fingers to fondue with sad, wrinkled potatoes. Bring back a real cheese plate! :-)

    They’ve still got the cheese plate at the Ireland booth at least!! I think I would have loved this fondue if the potatoes were a bit warmer.

    Thanks for the great pics.

    I am very much looking forward to the Mussels with cream sauce…. and WAS looking forward to the fondue BUT it really doesnt look all that appealing.

    Did the festival start a few days ahead of plans or am I just remembering the dates wrong?

  8. Pardon my ignorance, but I was under the impressed Belgian Waffles were about as Belgian as French Fries are French. Or am I mistaken?

    I was really hoping that you would get the Belgium waffle because I wanted to see it. Any idea what type of berries the Berry Compote is made of?

    I also had the fondue at the Charcuterie, and my potatoes were cold too!! I was disappointed, but it was still almost absurdly delicious.

    Visited F&W yesterday and had the Belgium waffles, they were d-lish, tender and warm (unexpected) with a tasty berry compote. Also had the Godiva Chocolate Iced Coffee which was good but pricey for the teeny tiny serving.

    Matt > well Belgian Waffles are only Belgian when outside of Belgium, in Belgium we have two main type of waffles : Brussels ones and ‘Liege’ ones, what you call Belgian are in fact Brussels Waffles for us :)
    The ‘Liege’ waffle has are a lot more sugarish and stick to everything they touch :)
