We’re back again with another update of What’s New in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
During our most recent visit to Animal Kingdom, we found some cute new merch, refreshing cold treats, and an unexpected show closure! We’re roaring to go, so let’s get started!
Animal Kingdom Food Update
First on our trek, we spotted the return of a popular frozen treat OUTSIDE the Harambe Market!
That’s right — the Shaved Ice Cart has moved back from its previous location inside the Harambe Market to just outside the village. Not to worry though — the offerings remain the same!
This is where you can nab your Asante Slush! The refreshing tribute to The Lion King has been around for a while now and is still available in both non-alcoholic and spiked versions!
We prefer ours with Snow Leopard Vodka, but both have a wonderfully fruity watermelon and mango flavor!
Calling all matcha maniacs! In Asia, we spotted the Frozen Green Tea Matcha at the Royal Anandapur Tea Company cart!
This frosty 16-ounce beverage is $5.69 (or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit) and may only be around for a limited time, so snag yours today if you’re a fan of the green stuff!
Animal Kingdom Construction Update
Also in Asia, we noticed the UP! A Great Bird Adventure show has unexpectedly closed and the sign shows no posted performance times.
Although we don’t have an expected date for when the show will re-open, we hope the birds will be returning soon!
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Update
Next, we scoped out all the new merchandise over at Riverside Depot!
We set our sights on an adorable new Mulan Pop-Up Book Pin!
The pin costs $17.99 and is styled after a classic pop-up book! We love how the hinged door opens to reveal an image of Mulan looking FIERCE with a quote on the inside cover!
We also spotted two new Lion King-themed phone cases! This sepia-color Hakuna Matata version…
…and a menacing-looking Scar case!
Both are available for $34.99.
Lastly, at Riverside Depot, we saw the latest Beauty and The Beast Alex and Ani bracelets we told you about yesterday! We spotted a Belle bracelet for $49.99…
…and a bracelet featuring the Beast’s Enchanted Mirror for $44.99! Aren’t they both gorgeous?!
That wraps up our latest trek around Disney’s Animal Kingdom — thanks for joining us! Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for even more news from the Disney parks and resorts.
