We may only be in April, but it is never too early to start planning for the Halloween season in Disney World!
We are covering everything we know about the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World.
Let’s start off by saying, that not a whole lot has been announced by Disney World regarding this year’s event. We know the event will be happening, but we are still awaiting the exact details of the event. The event usually starts in August and runs through the end of October (or possibly a few days into November). It is a separately ticketed event that provides a Halloween celebration that is perfect for the whole family in Magic Kingdom. No scary monsters jumping out at you here. The event includes trick-or-treating, special entertainment, access to select Magic Kingdom attractions, the opportunity to meet Disney characters, specialty food items, and lots of Halloween fun.
Disney World has some basic information about this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so let’s get into what to expect at this year’s event!
Trick-or-Treat Stations
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party gives you the opportunity to go trick-or-treating throughout the park. You can stop by designated treat locations and get your fill of candy. Disney World even offers allergy-friendly treats that you can collect by picking up teal tokens at trick-or-treat stations.

Special Entertainment
The event includes special entertainment offerings. Last year, the event included Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks display, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular!, and more. We recently saw a casting call posted by Disney World for these seasonal parades, so we can assume that at least the parade will be returning this year. The casting call specifically mentioned Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade, so it is pretty safe to assume that you will be able to see this parade during the 2024 event.

Ride Select Attractions in Magic Kingdom
In addition to special entertainment, you will also be able to enjoy select attractions in Magic Kingdom. Wait times are usually much less than during the normal operating hours, so you can get a lot of rides in. Not every attraction will be available during the Halloween party, but there will be plenty to choose from. In previous years, attractions have also had special overlays, and live actors were placed in some of the rides.

Meet and Greet with Characters
You can also expect to be able to meet and greet with a variety of Disney characters! They are often dressed up in special Halloween costumes and you can also usually meet characters that don’t normally meet in the parks during normal hours.

Specialty Sips & Bites and Themed Merchandise
The event also brings a selection of specialty sips and bites, that are often Halloween themed. These treats will cost extra, but you can usually find some really fun and tasty treats! We will keep you updated as we learn more about the exclusive food and drink at the event. You can also pick-up event exclusive merchandise which usually includes shirts, cups, hats, and more.Â

Ticket Information
Disney World has not announced the date for ticket sales yet. In 2023, tickets went on sale on April 27th for those who already had a resort reservation, and May 2nd for every other guest. In 2022, the tickets went on sale on May 12th for those with resort reservations, and May 18th for every other guest. So, while we don’t know an official date yet, it is likely that we can expect tickets somewhere in mid-April to May. Some dates will sell out very quickly like the very first party date, Halloween night, and even the very last party date if the event extends beyond Halloween night.Â
We are almost halfway to Halloween, so we are expecting Disney World to make more announcements soon. We are keeping a close watch on more news regarding the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and we will keep you updated as we learn more about the event.
