The opening of the live-action version of The Lion King is almost here! I still can’t believe that we’ll get to see Simba and the gang back in action on the big screen on Friday, July 19th! Can you?
To get everyone at the Disney Parks even more excited for the big release, Disney has introduced a ton of themed merchandise like the new Dooney & Bourke collection and lots of fun snacks like the Grub Burger from D-Luxe Burger.
But, today, Disney introduced a new opportunity inspired by The Lion King that will soon arrive at Animal Kingdom. You just might need some explorer binoculars for this adventure!
Beginning later this week, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will introduce the new The Lion King Scavenger Hunt. This hunt will allow guests to search throughout Harambe Village for some of their favorite characters, much like the Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt that takes place at Epcot in the spring. But instead of eggs, guests will search for carvings.
You can pick up a map at The Outpost Shop, Discovery Trading Company, Island Mercantile, and Mombasa Marketplace. And get this! Whether you find all the carvings or not, you can return your map to Mombasa Marketplace or The Outpost Shop for a special surprise!
This fun-filled opportunity will begin on July 19th and should last until September 28th.
