It’s plant time!!
A few weeks ago we shared that Disney would be introducing plant-based items at ALL of their Quick Service and Table Service locations beginning TODAY. And folks, they have done just that!
In order to help guests better navigate all of the new menu items, Disney has also introduced a new one-stop-spot so that guests can see all of Walt Disney World plant-based items Disney has to offer. AND THERE’S A TON!
You can find this master list by searching disneyworld.con/PlantBased. This website organizes all of the plant-based menu items by park, resort, water park, or location. This is a really great resource for those who have a plant-based diest to check out if when trying to figure out where to make a reservation.
Every Table Service Restaurant now has a plant-based appetizer, entree, and dessert. And we had the opportunity to try out a few of these new menu items! So, let’s check out a few of ’em.
Oak Fired Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflower Rice Risotto
We were SHOCKED that there is no dairy in this rice because it was soooo creamy. The Cauliflower Rice Risotto was a bit chunkier than a regular risotto, but the taste was stellar.
The Oak Fired Brussel Sprouts were a great addition and were made well. We really think this is a great side option and you should enjoy them if you’re a fan of brussel sprouts.
You can find this at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom!
Spaghetti and Mushroom Meatballs
These were our favorites because we could hardly tell that it wasn’t meat. There was a LOT of flavor and we loved the use of Italian herbs.
The meatball is very juicy and we weren’t weirded out by the texture. We honestly think that people who aren’t on a plant-based diet would enjoy this one! You can now find these at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in Magic Kingdom.
Dark Chocolate Banana Bread
One of our favorite plant-based desserts that we had the opportunity to try was the Dark Chocolate Banana Bread from The Plaza Restaurant.
The bread is served with non-dairy ice cream! The texture of the bread was a little chewy, but the chocolate chips help it out by adding a bit of crunch. The banana isn’t overwhelming, but if you aren’t a banana fan then this probably isn’t the dish for you!
We were kind of shocked by the ice cream since you couldn’t realllllly tell that is wasn’t made from dairy! Overall, this was super yummy and a great addition to the menu!
When on the hunt for these items, also be on the lookout for the new plant-based logo.
Disney has been updating the menus at both Quick-Service and Table-Service locations throughout the park! Try out a few of the new options and let us know what ya think!

We just ate lunch at Tony’s at MK on Wednesday, 11-20-19. I had the spaghetti and mushroom meatballs and was amazed at the taste and texture! If you are really turned off by mushroom taste, you may not enjoy this dish because there was a very slight earthy taste, but most would probably miss it. They are a touch “black peppery”; while I love hot and spicy foods, I have never been a fan of black pepper, so that’s just me. My lunch portion included 3 large, flat bottomed “meatballs” that were moist, flavorful and had a nice texture that truely rivaled ground meat- so much so that I caught myself questioning if the kitchen plated real meatballs. I chose the meal spontaneously, did not know this was a brand new option, and had no plans to review it. That said, I would highly recommend the mushroom meatballs to anyone (especially semi-vegetarians, like myself) looking for a toothsome, plant-based meal.
