It’s our favorite time of year as we get to eat, drink, and be merry at the Festival of Holidays at California Adventure Park.
The festival celebrates the cultural diversity of Southern California through live music and dance performances, beautiful decor, and marketplace booths. Some of our favorite dining locations are even getting in on the action with their own holiday offerings a day early!
Let’s cruise up the coast to one of our favorite Disney California Adventure spots, Pacific Wharf Cafe where we’ve already tried a delish Apple Fritter Bread Pudding.Â
Pacific Wharf is known for serving hearty soups in San Francisco’s own Boudin Bread Bowls! Last year, we indulged (And loved!) the carby goodness that was the Turkey Pot Pie Soup in a Bread Bowl.
You thought pumpkin season was over? Well, guess again! This holiday season brings us Pumpkin Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl.
Priced at $11.49Â as well as sip & savor eligible, this seasonal soup is made with coconut milk, lemongrass, and ginger, and is topped with pumpkin seeds and shaved coconut.
This soup was definitely more savory than the sweet Pumpkin-ness we anticipated. The aromatic spices were the perfect accompaniment for the fluffy and delicious (per usual) sourdough bread bowl. The garnish is made of cilantro, zucchini, and tomato and adds a nice flavor to it, but you can get it without the garnish if that’s not your thing. It’s relatively thick making for a very hearty meal.
We think this is a solid choice if you’re looking for a filling snack on those frigid 60 degree California nights.
The Festival of Holidays at Disney’s California Adventure officially kicks off tomorrow, November 8th and will run through January 6, 2020.
