Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort! It’s set to open on December 16th, and Cast Members have been hard at work on construction. You can check out the latest construction here!
Riviera Resort Dining
Now, let’s start things off with the good stuff! FOOD! Disney’s Riviera Resort will feature five new dining locations. These include Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, Le Petit Cafe, Voyageurs Lounge, Bar Riva, and Primo Piatto.
Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera
Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera is a rooftop restaurant that will feature signature dining for dinner, firework views, and a prix fixe character breakfast.
The location was inspired by the “cliffside restaurants of the Riviera” and will feature regional favorites including Sour Cream Waffles, Quiche Gruyère, Bouillabaisse, Vegetarian Cassoulet, and Warm Valharona Chocolate Cake.
Guests will also have the opportunity to ring in the new year at Topolino’s Terrace with Mezzanotte at Topolino’s: An Italian Masquerade. This event will let you hang out on the rooftop bar just days after its big opening. Here, you will be able to watch BOTH the Epcot and Hollywood Studios New Year’s Eve fireworks while drinking, dining, and listening to musical entertainment.
Le Petit Cafe
Le Petit Cafe will be located in Riviera’s lobby. In the mornings, the location will serve freshly brewed coffee and lattes. In the evenings, Le Petit Cafe will transform into a wine bar!
Voyageurs’ Lounge will reflect Walt’s travels throughout Europe and will include decor inspired by the books he collected on his 1935 Grand Tour throughout the Riviera.
While we know very little about this location, we do know that it will be a fun and stylish spot to come together to chat about your personal stories.
Bar Riva and Primo Piatto
Bar Riva will be the resort’s pool sidebar! It will serve European and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine along with made-to-order cocktails and drinks! And Primo Piatto will operate as the resort’s quick-service location, meaning that it will have a large amount of grab and go items!
Riviera Resort Rooms
Now, let’s take a look INSIDE some of the rooms that you’ll be able to stay in if you choose to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort.
The Resort will offer Deluxe Studios, One and Two-Bedroom Villas, Three-Bedroom Grand Villas, and a Tower Studio. These rooms offer a large range of accommodations for parties of many different sizes.
For example, the Tower Studio, which is the first of its kind at Walt Disney World Resort, can sleep up to two plus an infant. While the villas can accommodate up to twelve people.
The One-Bedroom Villa includes 1 King bed, 1 Queen-size pull-down bed, and 1 single pull-down bed. They also have a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, separate sleeping areas, a bathroom with two sink areas, and a bubble jet bathtub. So, it functions as a small apartment-type space for the length of your stay!
The Two-Bedroom Villa has 1 King bed, 2 Queen beds, 1 Queen-size pull-down bed, and 1 single pull-down bed. It sleeps up to 9 adults and includes a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a washer and dryer.
This is another great option for large groups of people as it offers a large amount of space and a bit of privacy.
Three-Bedroom Grand Villa
The Three-Bedroom Villa is the largest room offering at Disney’s Riviera Resort as it can sleep up to 12 people. This room includes 1 King bed, 4…yes 4 Queen beds, and 1 Queen-size sleeper sofa.
It also has a full kitchen WITH an island, a formal dining area, and 3 full bathrooms! So, it’s kind of like a miniature house inside the resort!!
The Deluxe Studio has 1 Queen bed, 1 Queen-size pull-down bed, and 1 single pull-down bed. It also includes a kitchenette with a small fridge and microwave along with a porch or balcony.
The Tower Studio is the smallest of the Riviera Resort rooms and the first of its kind at Disney. It accommodates two guests and an infant with its Queen-size pullout bed and private balcony.

Disney Skyliner Station
Disney’s Riviera Resort is one of the few locations on property with a Disney Skyliner station. The Skyliner Gondolas are a new form of transportation that recently opened. These take guests from four different Disney resorts and to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Riviera’s Skyliner station is stunning and blends in beautifully with the resort’s intricate detailing and archeticture.
Riviera Resort’s Mural Mosaics
The crew designing the Riviera Resort has gone all out in detailing this gorgeous location. We got a sneak peek recently at some beautiful Peter Pan murals that are being installed in a walkway at the Resort. These stunning hand-placed tile mosaics are 20 feet tall with a remarkable level of detail that show the level of care going into finishing this resort.
We can’t wait to see the completed mosaics when the resort opens as well as the other artwork being designed for the Resort.
Disney Vacation Club
Disney’s Riviera Resort is a Disney Vacation Club Resort. Because of this, guests are able to go on a room tour at Saratoga Springs. Here, Cast Members will show you the rooms and will chat with you about joining the Disney Vacation Club.
If you choose to do this Disney will give you up to three FastPasses along with a Disney gift card ranging in amounts from $25-$75 depending on which you’re currently staying at.
Current Riviera Resort Room Discounts
Disney is currently running a few Riviera Resort room discounts!
Disney is offering an up to 40% off room-only discount for Disney Visa cardholders. Guests can book NOW – February 16th for most nights from December 16th (the resort’s opening day) until March 21, 2020!
Disney Vacation Club members can also save 35% on rooms (cash rentals only) for most nights from December 16th, 2019 – April 25, 2020. DVC members can book this NOW – January 1, 2020.
We think that this is a worthwhile resort if you are traveling with a large group of people. The hotel offers a good number of options for big families and has a large number of useful appliances in the rooms. They’re spacious and offer options for storage and privacy, especially in the rooms that have more than one sink or bathroom.
Now, unless you’re looking to splurge, this resort will prove to be a bit pricey for those traveling in smaller parties. And while the Tower Room is an interesting new concept, it looks like it’ll cost over $300 for one night.
But, if you are looking to spend some extra dollars, this new resort is going to be new and STUNNING. There will be lots of exciting new amenities and dining locations to explore. The rooms are light, airy, and up to date, and the attention to detail that Disney put into this resort is breathtaking!
