Disney has been doing everything they can to protect its Cast and Crew Members by continuing to pay them while the parks are closed.
Buuut, Disney isn’t the only one trying to help out! Guy Fieri, one of the founders of Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs (with all those AH-MAZING sauces and chicken tenders), is also teaming up with other organizations to provide relief to people in need during this time.
According to People Magazine, Guy Fieri has partnered with the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation to grant $500 checks to restaurant workers.
As a part of the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, workers who have worked in the restaurant industry for at least 90 days, depend on these jobs as a primary source of income, and have either seen lost wages or unemployment on or after March 10th qualify to apply for the one-time grant.
Starting April 2nd, restaurant workers can apply for the checks that will be released on a first-come, first-serve basis. Business like PepsiCo, UberEats, and more have donated to the fund to continue showing their support. You can also donate to the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund here! We think this is an incredible way to help others during this difficult time (and we love Guy Fieri even more for it).
