Disney World is pushing forward with lots of upcoming projects! Cinderella Castle is now pink (we’re still not over it!) and the moat is FINALLY filled again.Â
But one of the biggest projects we’ve been checking up on is TRON Lightcycle Run, which is set to debut in Magic Kingdom next year.
We’ve noticed some structures being built around the attraction’s building and coaster track being put in place during our visits. But @bioreconstruct is giving everyone an aerial view of the progress on Disney’s latest construction projects.
You can see where the track will re-enter the indoor part of the TRON Lightcycle Run after its speedy curve outdoors (like Test Track over in EPCOT). Plus, the Cast and Crew members have made a LOT of progress since the project was first announced, so it looks like the high-speed coaster is coming along!

Hi, do you have any information on when the 50th-anniversary celebration will take place? We book out 2021 trip thinking it would be a year long celebration, but someone mentioned it might take place in October because that is when the park first opened.

Another thrill ride in the dark. Looks like I will never get to enjoy it…

Shantelle, we don’t have more information on the timeline. Hopefully we’ll get some clarity from Disney at some point.
