Happy Holidays from Disney World! We’ve been enjoying all the wonderful holiday decorations at the parks, including the gorgeous decor at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
And while sporting our Christmas spirit jerseys and Holiday Minnie ears, we’ve also been checking out all the great holiday snacks. And, as of today, that includes the Holiday Whoopie Pie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We thought this treat might usher in a return of the Christmas Tree-shaped version that has been served up in the Studios during holiday seasons of yore. This year, though, the Red Velvet Holiday Whoopie Pie — as we first spotted it at The Trolley Car Cafe today — looks like this…

And if it looks a little bit familiar to you, it may be because you’re thinking of another classic treat typically served here: the Carrot Cake Cookie. (More on that in just a bit!)

The Carrot Cake Cookie at Hollywood Studios
In any case, this year’s Holiday Whoopie Pie sports a more traditional shape, boasting two THICK red velvet cake rounds with oodles of cream cheese frosting tucked between the layers. It’s all finished off with red and green sprinkles. And even though it isn’t Tree-shaped this year, it’s still pretty Instagram-worthy!

And how does this baby taste? In a word…

Holiday Whoopie Pie
DELICIOUS! You do really need to have a deep love of red velvet cake because there is a LOT of it, as you can see! This thing is massive, as is the thick layer of cream cheese frosting in the middle. It’s so rich altogether that it’s actually a great candidate for sharing.
Still, there is something VERY IMPORTANT that we want to note: currently, there is NO Carrot Cake Cookie in The Trolley Car Cafe bakery case, as the Holiday Whoopie Pie is holding its spot! We don’t know if that will change at any point during the season (the cast members we checked with were not sure yet, either), but we’ll be letting you know if it does!
In addition to The Trolley Car Cafe, you’ll also find the Holiday Whoopie Pie at Backlot Express for $4.99 through January 4th. ENJOY!

I had this today at the Backlot Express as I fancied a dessert. This thing is HUGE. Its a meal in itself. Great value for $4.99 (for Disney) as well. Will easily feed 2 people and possibly a family of 4.
Highly recommend.
