The holidays are a time for many new Disney treats to make their debut.
We saw some awesome cupcakes, and some more unique desserts this year, but Disney announced earlier this week that some limited-time breakfast items would be coming to Magic Kingdom!
Last year, we saw some limited-time doughnut holes that arrived just in time for holiday crowds, and it appears that they are BACK! This time, we found the Doughnut Holes (aka Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnuts) at The Friar’s Nook (note: these are also available at Westward Ho, but their doughnut supply had run out when we checked)! Plus, we also discovered ANOTHER breakfast item: Sausage and Gravy Tots!
So naturally, we got both!
Let’s start with the Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnuts, which are bite-sized doughnut holes covered in cinnamon-sugar. At first bite, we think these might be the same doughnuts we had at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe around Halloween. They both have a lemony flavor.
As far as doughnuts go, these are fine and that lemon flavor is very noticeable. However, we thought these were a little dry. The portion size is good, though, making this a shareable breakfast. And you can grab them for $4.99.
But what about those Sausage and Gravy Tots? Well, the gravy isn’t sausage AND gravy — the sausage is actually part of the sauce, so it’s not typical Southern sausage and gravy. Also speaking of the gravy, there wasn’t that much of it!
The tots were cooked perfectly with that nice crispy outside, just as we like them. But after we ate the tots with all the gravy on them, we were still left with far too many sad, naked tots — poor things needed some gravy love, too! You can grab the tots for $5.49.
