March 2020 was a little chaotic, to say the least, with Disney World closing down due to the global health crisis. And in the midst of all that, St. Patrick’s Day got a little lost in the shuffle.
On the very day that Disney World Resort Hotels closed down, we found a brand new treat, the Irish Car Bundt Cake. We got to see it, but weren’t able to try it.
A year later, Disney World is open again, and we were FINALLY able to try this cake at The Artist’s Palette at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort!
This treat is St Patrick’s Day all the way, with a Guinness cake, Baileys Irish Cream Mousse and Whiskey Caramel. It’s like a pub in dessert form, and Disney’s description DOES emphasize that this Bundt cake contains alcohol.
And if those Irish pub vibes weren’t clear from the description, just look at it! The chocolate shamrock on top has us feeling lucky!
Now, back to that description. There’s a lot of booze in those components, but Bailey’s was the most pronounced flavor of them all. The Guinness chocolate cake was very moist, and had just a hint of stout flavor. The caramel in the middle was a little salty with a hint of whiskey. None of the alcohol was too overpowering, but you can tell it is there!
When we sliced open the bundt cake, the caramel oozed everywhere, but we didn’t mind because it was SO tasty! We loved this treat so much that we wish it was here year-round. We also wish it was a little bigger, but we really don’t have many complaints here at all.
If you like sweet and salty chocolate desserts, we think you’ll enjoy this festive treat! You can find the Irish Car Bundt Cake for $4.49 at The Artist’s Palette at Saratoga Springs. And St. Patrick’s Day is still a WHOLE week away, so when more festive green treats pop up around Disney World, we’ll let you know where to find them!

Colleen says
It’s not a clover it is a shamrock!
Clover has four petals and a shamrock has three.
The shamrock is associated with the Irish.
