It certainly has been a LONG time since we’ve stepped foot in Disneyland Park and despite getting to visit during A Touch of Disney, we miss a fully open Disney California Adventure too. Now, as we prep to return on Friday, we’ve got some new details when it comes to parking!
Disney just released details for how parking will work at a reopened Disneyland Resort. Guest parking for the parks will be available at both the Mickey & Friends parking structure and the Pixar Pals parking structure.
When you arrive at the toll booths for either structure, you will be asked if you have tickets and a theme park reservation. This has been the case in Disney World since reopening too.
Keep in mind that with a theme park reservation, you do not need to rush or arrive early. You will be able to enter the theme park with valid admission and a theme park reservation. Disney recommends that guests do not arrive early and line-ups will not be allowed prior to 6AM on opening weekend — the time that the parking structures and security screenings open.
You should allow some extra time upon arrival for the walk along the pedestrian bridge from the parking structures. Like Disney World, the parking tram will NOT be operating. For those with mobility needs, stroller, wheelchair, and ECV rentals will be available at the parking structures.
Also, note that eating or drinking while waiting in line is prohibited by state guidelines, so wrap up any breakfast or coffee in the car before heading for the theme park. As a reminder, visitors to Downtown Disney District will park in the Simba Lot which will change to payment upon exit beginning April 30th.
We’ll be reporting LIVE from the reopening of Disneyland later this week so stay tuned to DFB for all the updates.
