EPCOT is undergoing a LOT of changes.
An expansion at the France Pavilion — including the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction — will open on October 1st, and construction continues on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the new Space 220 restaurant. But there’s something else on the way: an all-new nighttime spectacular! And now, we finally know when this new show — Harmonious — will light up the skies.
Disney JUST announced on Good Morning America that EPCOT’s new Harmonious nighttime spectacular will debut on October 1st, 2021, just in time for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
The new Harmonious show will feature fireworks, custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving lasers, fountains, and more.
That’s some serious tech right there!
Harmonious will incorporate Disney music with classic songs reinterpreted and presented by diverse cultural musicians from around the world in keeping with the international celebration that is EPCOT’s World Showcase.
We’ve also watched as a number of effects and aspects from the show have been tested. And while many may not like how these barges look during the day right now, we’ve been wondering when we’ll be able to actually see all this innovation put to work at night. We can’t wait to see it come to life on October 1!
October 1st is going to be one BIG day with the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, La Creperie de Paris, some booths at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, (now) Harmonious, and more!
We’ll keep a close eye on the continuing construction with Harmonious and keep you posted with updates! As always, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
