It’s here! The 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival opened today!
We’ve tried a spicy donut from the Donut Box and SEVEN new apple-flavored drinks from Appleseed Orchard, and now it’s time. Yes, folks, it’s time for cheese. Let Emile’s Fromage Montage begin!
If a cheese crawl sounds like perfection for you, take a look inside your free Food and Wine Festival Passport, where you’ll find pages 37-39 dedicated to five cheese dishes along with five empty circles.
Should you choose to accept this cheese challenge and eat all five select cheese dishes, when you purchase each of the cheese menu items, you can collect a stamp at the food booth where you ordered your food. In total, the snacks listed will cost $23.50 if buy them all to finish the challenge! Do note: in the fine print it says you can purchase 5 Emile’s Fromage Montage menu items. So you maybe be able to buy multiples of something if you don’t want to purchase some of the listed items.
If you collect all five stamps in your Festival Passport, you can go to Shimmering Sips for a complimentary Strawberry Cream Cheese Soft Serve Swirl! This treat is not available to buy — you have to earn it by eating lots of cheese!
Shall we dive into the cheese??
Crispy Barbecue Pork Rinds with Pimento Cheese — The Swanky Saucy Swine
The Barbecue Pork Rinds are part of the all NEW Swanky Saucy Swine booth! They’re $4.75.
We didn’t expect the Pork Rinds to be so spicy!! They had some serious heat to them! The pimento cheese was super creamy with a little bit of pepper flavor, but it really helped to cool down those pork rinds!

Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts — Hawai’i
The Passion Fruit Cheesecake was not on the Hawai’i booth menu for 2020, but now it’s back! For $4.25, you can try this fruity cheesecake sprinkled with macadamia nuts.
The cheesecake was thick and creamy and had just a hint of passion fruit flavor! We thought the toasted macadamia nuts were the real stars of the show!

Schinkennudeln — Germany
Schinkennudeln, otherwise known as pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese, is $4.50.
We loved this dish too! The creamy cheese and salty ham go really well together. The pasta is cooked just right — it’s super tender, but not too mushy! Our favorite part? The crispy edges, of course!

Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey — Greece
Greece is back after a hiatus, and they’ve brought their Griddled Cheese! For $4.50, you get griddled Greek cheese drizzled with honey and chopped pistachios.
This dish has been a BIG favorite of ours for a while, so we’re super glad it’s back! WE LOVE GRIDDLED CHEESE. It has a nutty and sweet flavor from the honey and pistachios, and a satisfying saltiness that rounds things out! We think this dish is really well balanced and so delicious!

The Corned Beef Corner Route — Flavors from Fire hosted by The NFL on ESPN
The Corned Beef Corner Route is made of smoked corned beef with crispy potatoes, cheese curds, pickled onions, and beer-cheese fondue for $5.50.
This is one of our favorites from years past! We love the salty meat together with super creamy cheese! The flavors from the onions, chips, meat, and cheese all work together in a beautiful way, and the texture from the chips brings a much-needed crunchiness!

Now, let’s take a look at that FREE competer prize!!
FREE Strawberry Cheesecake Soft Serve for eating cheese?! Umm…sounds like a dream to us! And you get to keep the cute cup. 😊 This treat was aweseome. It’s cheesecake soft serve gelato swirled with strawberry soft serve and then on top are graham crackers and a little cheesecake bite. It was sweet and the texture was GREAT. Just look at that little bby cheesecake.
Remember, the Cheese Crawl will cost $23.50 (without tax) to get all of the snacks to finish the challenge!
The Cheese Crawl is such a fun challenge and a good way for families and groups to try a bunch of different dishes. You do not need to complete the challenge in a single day, which is helpful if you do not feel like waiting in five different booth lines in one day! Question – My wife doesn’t eat pork and two of the items have pork in them. She wants to take part in the cheese crawl to get the wine glass at the end. Will she be required to buy both of these in addition to me buying all of the items?
Andrew, in our experience, they’ll let a person buy more than one of another item on the crawl. Ask the Cast Members at the booths to see if they can confirm this and let your wife know her options.
That soft service strawberry cheesecake soft serve looks so delish!! I want some please!!!
