There are several exciting new additions coming to Walt Disney World soon!
We’re currently waiting on more details and opening date announcements for big projects like the new Tron Coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and the rest of the EPCOT Transformation. On top of those, Disney World is building the very first Star Wars hotel, and today we got the promotional poster with some bonus details!
Today, Disney shared this new poster, and it has quite a few interesting things to note! The four figures in the center of the poster represent the guests on the ship as each person chooses their own story. If you want to help out the first order, train as a Jedi, or live like an important member of galactic society? You can select your own path onboard the Halcyon!
You’ll also notice nods to other important features of the Galactic Starcruiser. There’s a high-tech R-series astromech droid, a group of guests in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, and images of Kylo Ren and Chewbacca. But perhaps most exciting of all is the guest wielding the lightsaber in the bottom right corner. Disney noted that “as part of your experience, you’ll face off with a training remote similar to how Luke Skywalker once did and learn the lightsaber’s ancient ways.”
But is this poster not quite enough excitement for you? Well, then just you wait — Disney also shared that they plan to release WAY more details on all of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser soon. They’ll be discussing specific aspects of the resort experience and interviewing Imagineers connected to the project. In fact, they said that it will be the “most in-depth discussion of this incredible new experience Walt Disney Imagineering has ever given publicly.”
It sounds like the next series of announcements is going to be a very big deal! We’ll be paying close attention and watching the news carefully for more details, and we’ll pass them along as soon as we know more. Stay tuned to DFB!
