NEWS: Select Park Hours Extended on Disney World's 50th Anniversary

Disney World’s 50th Anniversary begins in just a few weeks!

50th Anniversary decorations are already popping up!

Starting October 1st, we’ll be getting new entertainment, including two fireworks shows, a daytime show, and a brand-new character cavalcade. We’ll also get to celebrate with the opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie de Paris at EPCOT. And if you’re planning to visit the parks at the start of the celebration, then we have some exciting news to share — select park hours were just extended!

The Disney World website now lists extended park hours on select dates around the 50th Anniversary. Magic Kingdom will now be open from 9AM-10PM on September 29th (previously the hours were 9AM to 9PM). September 29th is the date of the final showing for Happily Ever After, the popular fireworks show.

Magic Kingdom also has extended hours on October 1st to October 4th. On the official anniversary, you’ll get 14 hours of celebration time from 8AM to 10PM. Then, on the 2nd through 4th, you can visit from 9AM to 10PM. These dates were previously listed as 9AM-9PM.

It’s almost time!

Over at EPCOT, the park hours have been changed to 9AM-10PM from October 1st through 9th (previously 11AM to 9PM).

EPCOT is getting extra hours as well!

Animal Kingdom gets some bonus time as well, with new hours of 8AM-8:30PM (previously 8AM to 7PM) on those same dates. Hollywood Studios has no updates for its park hours.
