Disney World isn’t the only place to celebrate Halloween this year.
We’ve been to Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland, and other parks around the world are also getting in on the spooky festivities. Let’s take a look at what’s going on in Shanghai Disneyland Park for Halloween and Fall!
Shanghai Disneyland is planning to celebrate Halloween from October 4th through November 7th this year, with new photo ops around the park and Disney villains appearing on the Enchanted Storybook Castle balcony. Guests are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume in the park during the celebrations.
Disney also announced that there will be “classic decorations, entertainment, shows, activities, and trick-or-treating.” At sunset, Treasure Cove will become the home of Shanghai Disney’s Ghost Pirates. The Pirates of the Caribbean-themed land will become a spooky home to ghost pirates seeking Captain Jack Sparrow. You might find the ghosts along the way as you walk through the land, or maybe you’ll find Captain Jack asking for your help! Also at sundown, you can see the Halloween Cavalcade ride through the park along with a “This is Halloween!” Dance Party.
The Halloween Spook-tacular is returning to Shanghai Disneyland as well, and it’s been extended to last four days from October 28th through the 31st. There will be Disney characters, DJs, live music, and a Halloween Villains Fireworks Show.
You can also find new Halloween-themed treats and snacks, plus new themed merchandise.
The merchandise will be themed after Mickey and the gang, Duffy and his friends, and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
If you’re not heading into the park, you can still stop by Disneytown, which is hosting a Halloween Fun Carnival. There you’ll find Halloween decorations like character-themed pumpkins, live music from a Ghost Band, dance parties, trick-or-treat-parades, and more. There’s going to be a Halloween makeover that includes Magical Mirrors and The Lost Souls.
There will be opportunities for guests to get a “one-of-a-kind Halloween night with special themed staycation packages at both the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel.”
Once Halloween is over, there will still be some festivities to attend! The first ever Chip ‘n’ Dale Celebration is coming to Shanghai Disneyland, with a new outdoor show, new treats and snacks, and new merchandise. This event runs from November 8th through the 24th.
According to Shanghai Disneyland, if you want to experience the nighttime festivities, you can buy an afternoon ticket to enter the park after 3PM. These will be available from September 28th through November 7th, and they’ll be valid for one visit between October 4th through November 7th.
We heard recently that a new friend was joining Duffy and the gang: LinaBell! LinaBell is a curious fox who loves to solve mysteries. She’ll be appearing soon in Shanghai Disneyland, starting with a “special ceremony will be held for guests on Shanghai Disneyland’s Mickey Avenue on September 29, 2021.”
After the ceremony, you’ll be able to find new merchandise…
…as well as snacks and collectible sippers and popcorn buckets around the park.
