Hello and welcome back to your weekly recap of all the latest and greatest Disney news!
From a full list of holiday treats coming to Disney World to BIG updates about character meet-and-greets, we’ve got all of your need-to-know Disney info right here!
1 — Modified Character Meet-and-Greets Have Arrived
We’ll start with a big update about character meet-and-greets. We had previously shared that meet-and-greets would be returning in a modified way later this year. Well, the time for modified character meet-and-greets has arrived!
This week, we made our way over to Magic Kingdom and found that Mickey Mouse had returned to the Town Square Theater and was once again greeting guests there.
The meet-and-greet has been modified, however. Guests can’t get autographs and must remain distanced. But, if you’ve been wanting to meet Mickey in this themed environment, now you can!
Other modified character meet-and-greets have also arrived with select princesses.
We’re sure many little kiddos out there (and kids at heart) will be thrilled to get a bit more interaction with their favorite characters once again.

2 — Holiday Snacks and More
We know, we know, it’s not even Halloween yet, but holiday news has been coming in FAST! This week, Disney announced that holiday sleigh rides and carriage rides are coming back soon!
We also spotted some special holiday decor getting put in place this week in Disney World at a classic attraction in EPCOT and in Disney’s Animal Kingdom too!
Even the Christmas ornaments are floating in Echo Lake already in Hollywood Studios!
But, holiday decor isn’t the only thing that’s arrived in Disney World again. Select holiday drinks are back too, including a peppermint hot cocoa!
Speaking of snacks and treats, this week we also got a FULL list of all of the holiday treats coming to Disney World this year! There are some returning items as well as brand-new snacks to try.
Halloween season will be over this weekend, so we expect LOTS more holiday news will be shared soon. Be sure to check back with us for all the latest updates!

Not planning on visiting the parks? No worries! There will be lots of treats in Disney World’s hotels too, and we have the FULL list!
And if the gingerbread houses that pop up at select Disney World spots are at the top of your must-do holiday list, then you’ll be thrilled to know that Disney has announced the DATES when these gingerbread displays will start to become available for guests to see.
Over at Disneyland, we got some holiday news this week too! Select guests had the chance to actually see Mickey and Minnie already dressed up in their new festive outfits!
This week we also got a first look at the food and drinks coming to Disneyland’s NEW Merriest Nites event, and a sneak peek at the merchandise coming to Merriest Nites too!
We’ll be on the lookout for more news about this event, and we’ll be sure to share that all with you!

3 — The Star Wars Hotel
This week was also a BIG one for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (a.k.a. the Star Wars Hotel). Select groups of guests have been able to book their stays at the Star Wars Hotel early, but starting on October 28th, reservations became available for anyone to book!
Select dates have already sold out for this experience. If you’re hoping to stay at the Star Wars hotel when it opens in 2022, be sure to check and see if the dates you’re hoping to go are still available.

4 — Beignets are BACK in Disney World
Nearly all of Disney World’s resort hotels have reopened, but there are still a few that have remained closed for over a year. But now, that has all changed for Disney’s Port Orleans Resort: French Quarter. This past week, French Quarter officially REOPENED!
You can now book a stay and enjoy a wonderful day and/or night at this fan-favorite resort.
And yes, now that French Quarter has reopened…Mickey-shaped beignets are BACK!
You can get these beauties in their traditional form, with dipping sauces, or with other special flavors or toppings.
Beignet lovers: your wishes have all been granted!

5 — Ticket Price Increases & Big Disneyland News
Over at Disneyland, this week actually brought some big news when it comes to ticket and parking prices. For quite some time now, ticket prices at Disneyland have not increased. But, this week we saw increases in both ticket and parking prices for the Happiest Place on Earth.
In terms of Disneyland’s new annual pass program — called the Magic Key pass program — we also saw that the priciest ticket option (with the most benefits in terms of available park dates, etc.) has SOLD OUT. Other Magic Key pass options are still available to purchase though.
While some things have sold out or gone away, other things are set to return soon at Disneyland. This week, Disney shared a timeframe for the return of parking trams to Disneyland Resort — news that will likely be very appreciated by all of the guests who have had to walk that nearly 1-mile trek to some of the parking garages.
Speaking of things returning to Disneyland, this week Disney shared a video that indicated a fan-favorite parade — the Main Street Electrical Parade — might just be making a comeback to Disneyland in the future!
Get those glow wands ready, and prepare to sing your heart out to that catchy tune! We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates and we’ll let you know what we find out.
6 — Marvel Stars Will Be Featured ON a Disney Cruise and More!
Finally, in terms of bigger news this week, we also got the chance to share a whole bunch of exciting details about the Disney Wish, Disney Cruise Line‘s newest ship.
First, for all you Marvel fans, 4 Marvel STARS will actually be featured on the Wish. Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Anthony Mackie, and Evangeline Lilly have all reprised their superhero roles and filmed special clips that will be shown during the Marvel dining experience on the ship!
More of a Frozen fan? The Disney Wish has you covered too with a special Frozen-themed dining experience. During this experience, guests will get to chat with an interactive animatronic version of Olaf AND even meet Oaken himself! Yes, a REAL LIFE Oaken!
As if that wasn’t enough, this week we also got the chance to share a whole bunch of awesome details about 1923, another one of the new restaurants coming to the Wish. If you’re a fan of Disney movies, this spot will give you plenty of awesome things to look at.
But, you won’t just be going to these restaurants for the theming. You’ll also be heading there for the FOOD! If you want to get a first look AND review of some of the dishes that’ll be served on the Disney Wish, click here!
The Disney Wish will be setting sail in 2022. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates about the ship.
