Universal’s Epic Universe is an upcoming theme park that will become the third park at Universal Orlando.

Epic Universe was originally going to open in 2023, but construction was delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic. The new opening date was slated for sometime in 2025, but now we have more details about the opening timeline. 

Journalist Ashley Carter reported that Universal’s Epic Universe will open “certainly in time for summer 2025.” This information was released during the quarterly Comcast investors call.

The Epic Universe will feature content from Illumination and DreamWorks, and Universal reported that Nintendo theming will also play a big role in the park.

If you’re heading to Universal Orlando in 2025, be sure to check out the new park! It sounds like it will be up and running in time for the summer crowds. Remember that Epic Universe is going to be a short distance away from the other two parks, and Universal hasn’t yet announced the transportation plans for getting guests between the parks.
