While the internet has some pretty big thoughts about this new Universal property, one warning we absolutely need to give you is all weather-related. Here are our best tips on how to handle that Frisco heat.

Universal Kids Resort
Universal Kids Resort has seven lands, all themed to fun characters and movies, with everything being geared towards kids. There’s also a 300-room hotel attached, equally as themed. Now that pictures and videos are out for the theme park, fans are starting to share their opinions, and let’s just say…we’re not quite sure what to say!
Universal has been quietly expanding its theme park offerings and experiences across the world, including Universal Kids Resort in Texas, as well as Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas.

Well, we’ve been following the news about a new Universal theme park currently being built in the U.K., and now Universal has revealed the theme park’s new name: Universal United Kingdom Resort.
A major new themed expansion is coming to the United Kingdom… and we’re not talking about Universal!

The summer of 2026 will see the opening of Kynren: The Storied Lands. An expansion of the original Kynren attraction – which opened in 2016 – the will “use live-action shows to educate visitors about Britain’s history and myths.”
In case you forgot, Disney is building a theme park on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. While Disney hasn’t shared many details, the Chief Executive Officer of Miral, the company working with Disney to build the park, has shared an update.

According to Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi’s LinkedIn post, the two companies recently met to discuss next steps.

We already covered the opening of Epic Universe in 2025, but we’re excitedly anticipating the new kid-focused theme park from Universal next. Well, ANOTHER new theme park will be coming to Las Vegas soon, and it’s sort of like Disney’s Pop Century Resort…but with rides. It’s called RestroEscapes, and it’s about to to take you back to the 1950s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.
