We have a confession to make: even though we could probably navigate through the Disney parks with our eyes closed, we still find ourselves picking up a park map every once in a while — they’re practically a collector’s item! Nowadays, there are fewer and fewer freebies in Disney World, so we cling to our good old paper park maps like they’re precious gold. Who knows, maybe someday our commemorative 50th Anniversary park map will be worth some CASH!

Ever take a picture and think, “This is cover-worthy”?
Speaking of park maps, it’s time for a redesign! Recently, Minnie Mouse took over the cover of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ NEW park map (and looks FABULOUS), but now let’s check out the new Magic Kingdom park maps!
For reference, this is what the old Magic Kingdom park map looked like. Each of the four Disney World park maps featured a beacon of magic park icon all lit up for the 50th Anniversary celebration. They were pretty, but spring is a time for new beginnings!

The NEW park map features Mickey Mouse all dressed up in his 50th Anniversary EAR-idescent costume! If you were curious, that new cover photo was taken during one of Mickey’s daily cavalcade appearances, where Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale ride through the Magic Kingdom and celebrate the 50th Anniversary.

Hey — we know him!
Inside, well, you know how maps work. You can find a list of all the open attractions, dining, merchandise locations, guest services, first aid, and shows in the Magic Kingdom. If you’re trying to preserve your precious phone battery, using a physical park map can come in handy!

Not much changed here, but we did notice that the newly returned Festival of Fantasy parade, Adventure Friends Cavalcade, and Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire are now listed on the map. If you’re looking for some classic Disney entertainment, all three of these experiences are SUPER fun!

This is a keeper for SURE!
Those are all of the changes we noticed on the new maps at Magic Kingdom! Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news and park updates.
