It’s a BIG day, people! Just when all hope was lost, Disney surprised us with the return of a BELOVED treat.
We’ve been missing one special treat for a LONG time!
Over in Adventureland, you might easily miss a little snack stand on your way to the Jungle Cruise or Pirates of the Caribbean. Though small, the Sunshine Tree Terrace is a SWEET little soft-serve location with some fabulous Dole Whip treats! Now, a Sunshine Tree Terrace classic is BACK on the menu!
We’ve been puzzled about the fate of the Citrus Swirl for a LONG time! Back in 2021, the Citrus Swirl was unexpectedly taken off the menu with no official return date. Was it gone forever? Would it be back? We didn’t know!
It’s been a LONG time!
Now, we’re happy to report that the Citrus Swirl is BACK on the mobile order menu at the Sunshine Tree Terrace!

If you’re unfamiliar with the flavor of a Citrus Swirl (we highly recommend giving it a try, by the way), the treat simply consists of Frozen Orange Juice and Vanilla Soft-serve. We found it on the menu for $4.99.

The Citrus Swirl is not currently posted on the in-person menu, but you can walk up and order it like we did!

I have been obsessed with the citrus swirl since my first visit with my family in 1976. In fact last week, at Disneyland they’re actually selling t-shirts. But I don’t know if I can have one since my mom who was equally a fan died a few years ago. If anything I can cry in my citrus swirl.
The citrus swirl is a reminder to me of all my family, friends, and relatives who shared in this treat with me while we were at the Magic Kingdom together. Some of those family members have passed and it’s a wonderful memory for me. Thank you
