Disney’s Hollywood Studios, home to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, is a great place to celebrate May 4th!

Welcome to the Dark Side
Besides being able to immerse yourself into the world of Star Wars by taking a trip to Galaxy’s Edge, you can also find some Star Wars-inspired food and drinks all over the park in celebration of May 4th! So we headed over to Hollywood Studios today to try one treat that nearly pushed us to the dark side.
Darth Maul…is that you? There’s another Star Wars treat to try! The Dark Side Chocolate Creation is back this year at Backlot Express, PizzeRizzo, and The Trolley Car Café, and it’s a malted milk chocolate mousse dome with raspberry mousse filling, slivered almonds, and chocolate shortbread cookie. It’s available through May 5th, and it can be Mobile Ordered at Backlot Express and PizzeRizzo for $5.99.
We Mobile Ordered the Dark Side Chocolate Creation from Backlot Express and we had to admire it in the sunlight by an AT-AT, of course. We love the creepy Darth Maul vibes.
The chocolate mousse was bouncy and thick and it held its structure well. We didn’t get a ton of raspberry flavor last year, but this year the raspberry gave this treat a nice boost of tartness, and the chocolate balanced the flavors with some sweetness. We might consider joining the Dark Side for this treat!
We probably could have shared half this treat with someone and been totally happy, so you might consider it a good size portion that’s also shareable. Also, make a note that the color dye is really intense, and we wished there were more spiky almond pieces to contrast with some of the tartness. The mousse looks a little different than last year’s treat, but we aren’t complaining!
If you’re looking to join the Dark Side and you like tart treats, this is something you might want to try! But if you prefer to avoid treats with lots of red dye, you might want to steer clear. So if you’re in Hollywood Studios either May 4th or May 5th, be sure to try out this limited-time offering! And stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news!
